Activating your e-imza

Your card or stick has arrived and your application is approved: these steps put your certificate on it. It takes about five minutes.

Before you start

• A Windows or Mac computer, with E-Tuğra Connect installed.
• Your card in its reader, or your e-imza stick.
• The mobile phone you gave us, for the code we send.

1. 1 Open this page's first screen It checks E-Tuğra Connect, the reader and the card. Where a step is not ready, it says what to do: start Connect, download it, plug in the reader, put in the card.
2. 2 Sign in with the code Choose “Activate my new e-imza”, type your identity number and the code we send to your phone. Your number is used only to find your application.
3. 3 Confirm the card, if asked If your application does not name a card yet, the page asks you to confirm the one in the reader. Be sure it is yours: the certificate is written to it.
4. 4 Choose your PIN in E-Tuğra Connect's window E-Tuğra Connect opens its own window for the PIN; this page never sees it. Choose one you will remember: you type it every time you sign.
5. 5 Wait while your certificate is made and written Keep the card in the reader. If it takes longer than a minute, you may close the page: we send you a message when it is ready, and the page goes on from where it stopped.
6. 6 Done: sign once to prove it Connect asks for your PIN once more to sign a test. Your e-imza is then ready to use.
